Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The spring weather in South Florida is now upon us and a review of our April activities and plans for May and beyond reflects our feelings of happiness and brotherhood.

Our April general business meeting featured an “Indoor BBQ” and was a great success, with catering provided by Lucille’s Bad to the Bone. We announced the winners of the Bonanno Lodge Student Scholarships. Three relatives of the Bonanno Lodge membership received $1000 each towards use at their respective resident universities for tuition, book, and supplies. Finally, Joan D’Amato led an entertaining “Name Game” contest where correct answers for the birth names of famous Italians were awarded a Lotto scratch off ticket.

The month of May promises to be entertaining as we have planned a Member Appreciation night. Chef Dominick Caruso will again be providing catering for this general business meeting which will be free of charge to our members. The winner of the Anthony and Rosemarie Episcopio Scholarship will also be announced at this meeting. As the May meeting is our last meeting of the season, we have already planned the summer luncheons for the months of June, July, and August. Stay tuned for the dates and locations of these luncheons as well as other special events.
